I'm Huma Imtiaz (pronouns: she/hers) and I'm running to serve as commissioner for (the newly redrawn) ANC5E04. I've lived in Bloomingdale since 2013 and am grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community that we get to call home. I’m originally from Pakistan and have lived in Washington, D.C., since 2011. I’m an avid runner, a slow cyclist (that First Street hill gets me each time), and a newbie swimmer.  In addition to my day job as a communications professional, I currently serve as the president of the volunteer-run executive committee of the LeDroit Park Community Garden, which serves residents of Bloomingdale, LeDroit Park and surrounding neighborhoods. I've been endorsed by Erin Palmer, DC Voters for Animals, and Greater Greater Washington!

I'm Huma Imtiaz (pronouns: she/hers) and I'm running to serve as commissioner for (the newly redrawn) ANC5E04 which covers parts of Bloomingdale and a sliver of Edgewood in Ward 5 of Washington, D.C.

 


I’m originally from Pakistan and have lived in D.C. since 2011, and in Bloomingdale for nearly a decade now.

I currently serve as the president of the volunteer-run executive committee of the LeDroit Park Community Garden, which serves residents of Bloomingdale, LeDroit Park and surrounding neighborhoods.

In my day job, I work as a communications professional. Prior to communications, I worked as a journalist in the U.S. and Pakistan.
